Who is Scout Land Consultants?

Scout is redefining how resource development gets done. Using location intelligence and systems to streamline site acquisition, our team works to identify suitable properties for resource projects and helps facilitate land agreements between the landowner and developer.

We are looking for passionate, assertive and driven individuals to join our site acquisition team in Greenville, South Carolina.

Welcome to the front line!  You will be joining our team of seasoned project managers to help negotiate solar land agreements on behalf of our developer partners.  You will be supported by our best in class lead generation tools, operating system, and training to ensure you are equipped for success.  You will be part of a respectful, values-driven team that loves to work hard and have fun.

Your core role will include:

  • Acting as the primary go-between with landowners and our developer partners to facilitate land agreements
  • Communicating key deal terms and addressing landowner objections
  • Working with third party attorneys, accountants, and advisors to facilitate negotiations
  • Using our operating system to track key activities including communication notes, updating workflow stages, and supporting management reporting efforts as needed
  • Working directly with the NLR Analyst team for administration and lead generation support
  • Representing the company in a professional and respectful manner consistent with our core values.

Compensation Package

  • Performance-based compensation tied to revenue generation
  • Estimated first year compensation of $60,000-$100,000
  • Draw to be provided for Year 1
 

We are looking for a diligent, caring, and experienced person to manage our office administration in Greenville, South Carolina.

You will be managing a variety of aspects of our administrative requirements for our team of 20 (and growing).  We have invested heavily over the past several years in our technology and infrastructure – creating a foundation to build upon; and achieve goals consistently and efficiently.  While we are in growth mode, Scout is an established firm with a history of success.

This position requires a careful adherence to well-defined work where repeatable results are needed.  It is vital that the work output be very high quality, with correct results, time and time again.  It is clear what needs to be done, and what the expected results are.  This clarity will come either from the company’s management, or from established professional disciplines and processes. 

Your core role will include:

  • Responsible for internal team communication including announcements and policy updates; as directed by executive team
  • Onboarding and training new employees 
  • Managing seasonal interns
  • Answering phone, monitoring corporate phone voicemail and corporate email address, contact us form submissions; directing to appropriate contact
  • Routine administrative functions including ordering office supplies, coordinating with janitorial services, paying utility bills.
  • Maintain internal file and intranet systems (Google Suite)
  • Routine updates to the website (blogs, team bios and headshots)
  • Supporting executive team in coordinating and taking notes in meetings
  • Primary point of contact for internal Human Resources; acts as go-between with outsourced PEO 
  • Supporting event planning at company gatherings (annual summit and quarterly meetings) including accommodations, meals and entertainment, and program scheduling

You could be a great fit if:

  • You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in leadership or high influence in office management or executive administrative function.
  • You have an associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • You have led or influenced projects to establish or maintain organizational systems 
  • You have been a part of a growing company involving frequent new hires and onboarding requirements
  • You are meticulous and detail-oriented, and comfortable asking for clarity in ambiguous situations.  
  • You enjoy a challenge to bring order and structure to an unstructured environment
  • You desire a firm understanding of rules, job training for new skills, and a pathway to reduce risk of error
  • You are able to work with people of varying personalities and work rhythms.  You are not afraid to push a bit to achieve a desired outcome.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary $60,000 – $70,000
  • Benefits including Health, 401k, Vision and Dental
